InnoVia Browser Setup - Internet Explorer 7
| |
1. Upgrade
to Internet Explorer 7

Microsoft has released it's newest browser option,
Internet Explorer 7, to the public. RANW MLS and Offutt Systems,
Inc. have tested Internet Explorer 7 and have approved its use with
our InnoVia MLS.
As with previous versions of Internet Explorer,
some basic browser configuration will be needed (trusted sites,
pop-up blockers, print margins) in order for InnoVia to function
correctly. Those configuration instructions appear below.
Internet Explorer 7 can be downloaded from Microsoft
- www.microsoft.com.
|
| |
2. Install the InnoVia
Browser Setup Tool

RANW MLS has created an InnoVia Browser Setup tool
that offers a quick and convenient way to perform the standard configuration
needed for InnoVia use.
Our InnoVia Browser Setup tool provides two options:
1. Configuring the standard browser settings (trusted sites, pop-up
blocker, print margins), OR
2. Configuring the standard browser settings PLUS installing Java
and Adobe Reader.
Click here to open the InnoVia Browser Setup information
page and choose your download option.
|
| |
3. Perform Additional Setup Options

In addition to the standard browser configuration,
members who use ASCII or MS Download options from the InnoVia system
will need to set their browser to prompt for downloads. Without
this additional configuration, members will be unable to perform
InnoVia downloads and will be logged out of the InnoVia system each
time they attempt a download.
After running the RANW MLS browser setup tool (above):
1. In Internet Explorer, select Tools - Internet Options
2. Click on the Security tab
3. Highlight Trusted Sites at the top of the window
4. Under Security Level for this Zone click on
the Custom Level button
5. Scroll down the list to the Downloads section
7. Click Enable for Automatic Prompting for
File Downloads
8. Click Enable for File Download
9. Click OK
|
| |
4. Clear
Temporary Internet Files on a Regular Basis

Internet Explorer 7 offers a one-button option
to clear temporary Internet files, cookies, and history. RANW MLS
recommends that members clear these files at least once per week
for optimum InnoVia use.
To clear your Temporary Internet Files:
1. In Internet Explorer, select Tools -
Internet Options
2. In the Browsing History section, click the Delete
button
3. In the Delete Browsing History window, click the Delete
All button
4. Click to check the box marked Also Delete
Files and Settings stored by Add-Ons
5. Click the Yes button to delete all of the selected
files.
|
| |
5. Other

The instructions above will ensure that Internet
Explorer 7 will work well with InnoVia MLS.
Other software programs on your computer, such
as anti-virus programs, firewalls, etc., may still need to be configured
for use with InnoVia. Check with your computer technician or the
help files within your program(s) for more information.
