! Tips from the MLS

The Latest from Homesnap:

In this time of uncertainty, as open house activity decreases or stops altogether, we wanted to remind you of a great free alternative available to all agents within Homesnap, HOMESNAP STORIES! Agents can make their own videos of their listings and they will be prominently displayed in the media section of the listing alongside listing photos and virtual tours. Read the Homesnap BLOG HERE for more information!

Also, please don't forget all the other integration possibilities with Homesnap to help increase agent engagement. Check out your MLS Dashboard.

TIPS FROM THE MLS:

A Few Safety Tips to Consider for Realtors and Consumers You're Working With

Seller and showings:
  • Talk with your Sellers -- are there precautions they want put in place?
  • If a Seller requests restrictions on showings or requests no showings for a period of time, the MLS requires you to disclose that info in Public Remarks. However, during the public health crisis, MLS will allow these exceptions without an amendment attached to a listing in MLS if the seller is restricting showings due to social distancing under COVID-19 guidelines. This temporary change does not mean you don't need seller authorization.
  • Examples of what should be in Public Remarks: The dates showings are not allowed, or the times and days showings are allowed.

  • Active Listings
  • Consider updating or adding more photos to help with virtual preview of homes.
  • Use Homesnap Stories and add a Homesnap Story to your listings -

  • Buyers and Showings
  • If showings are allowed, and you don't have easy access to disinfecting wipes, consider bringing along plastic gloves for buyers, similar to your booties. Or better, both.
  • Buyers with Pre-Approval financing letters may be more acceptable to a Seller who is restricting showings.
  • Don't take Buyers in your vehicles, meet them at the property.
  • Maintain recommended distancing.

  • WRA's new Addendum CV
  • Use WRA's new Addendum CV and watch for possible changes to this addendum as they become necessary.
