Vendor Information

RANW MLS data is now available through MLS Grid! Begin your data request here: www.MLSGrid.com

RANW MLS will sunset RETS service on May 31, 2023. Data vendors should apply for Web API through MLS Grid to transition existing IDX, VOW, mobile app, back-office replication, and firm-specific data feeds from RETS to Web API before 5-31-23.

Most data vendors working with RANW MLS members are already part of the MLS Grid. If not, visit mlsgrid.com/resources for guides on setting up data consumer access. This change affects RANW MLS data only; WIREX data will not be available via MLS Grid and will remain RETS access for now.

Important Timeline Details:

  • February 1, 2023: New data feed requests for RANW MLS data must be submitted through MLS Grid.
  • May 31, 2023: RANW MLS will sunset RETS data feeds for members (exception of WIREX feeds).

Benefits to Vendors: Vendors working in multiple markets can reduce expenses due to a standard Web API, one standardized license agreement, one combined data feed, and simplified compliance enforcement by MLS Grid.

Transition Process:

  1. Data Vendors will set up their account on MLS Grid and generate data requests to replace current RETS feeds.
  2. Brokers (and agents, if applicable) will e-sign new agreements.
  3. MLS staff will approve the agreements, allowing MLS Grid to give the vendor access to the data.

Fees: All RANW MLS data feed fees are charged to the member Company via the monthly MLS billing (including those fees for Agent data feeds). The member company fee schedule is available here: Data Feed Fee Schedule

Updated WIREX Data Request Form

WIREX is working on an API option, but data delivery remains via RETS at this time. WIREX is only available to member Companies; agents/salespersons are not eligible for WIREX data.

RANW MLS RESO Standards:
National Association of Realtors MLS Policy Statement 7.90, Real Estate Transaction Standards (RETS), as follows:
The integrity of data is a foundation to the orderly real estate market. The Real Estate Transaction Standards (RETS) provide a vendor neutral, secure approach to exchanging listing information between the broker and the MLS. In order to ensure that the goal of maintaining an orderly marketplace is maintained, and to further establish Realtor information as the trusted data source, MLS organizations owned and operated by associations of Realtors will implement the RESO Standards including: the RESO Data Dictionary by January 1, 2016; the RESO Web API by June 30, 2016 and will keep current by implementing new releases of RESO Standards within one (1) year from ratification. Compliance with this requirement can be demonstrated using the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO) compliance Certification Process. (Amended 11/14)
